Barrack Obama's speach to the UN

Click here for Barrack Obama's speak given at the UN a couple of weeks ago of which many of you might be interested in reading, its full of hope and promises that need to be turned into action. Some of the items covered are

US agreement to:
- the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty
- a fissile materials agreement
- a new agreement with Russia to reduce strategic missiles and launchers
- aim for a world without nuclear weapons
- confront climate change
- re-engage with the UN
He states that "now is the time for all of us to take our share of
responsibility for a global response to global challenges."

Many of these issues are core to our association and why we look to democracy at a global level.
