Dear Fellow Citizens,
The World March for Peace and Nonviolence is on this weekend. For
those in Sydney, there will be a gathering on Bondi Beach on
Sunday, October 4th. I suggest we meet at 11.30 am outside the Bondi Beach
House, 28 Sir Thomas Mitchell Rd to display the flag. There
will be a photo of 'PEACE' spelt out on the beach at 12.30, and a social
gathering at the Bondi Pavilion afterwards.
All the best, from
Chris Hamer.

THE AIMS FOR THE WORLD MARCH
To avoid a future nuclear catastrophe, we must demand our governments do
all that is possible to facilitate:
o nuclear disarmament at a global level;
o the immediate withdrawal of invading troops from occupied territories;
o the progressive and proportional reduction of conventional weapons;
o the signing of non-aggression treaties between countries;
o the renunciation by governments of the use of war as a means to
resolve conflicts.
It's urgent to create a consciousness in favour of peace and disarmament,
but it is also necessary to reject all forms of violence: economic,
racial, psychological, religious, sexual, etc. The time has come to stand
together and show our opposition. Join a multitude of others in sending a
clear signal, and your voice will have to be heard!
